There is one location and there always has been, so the service area is not a marketing radius drawn on a map. It is the set of suburbs close enough that people genuinely treat this as their local salon.

That turns out to be a tight pocket. Every suburb listed on this page sits within 2.6 kilometres of the chair, and most of them within about a kilometre and a half. Adelaide's inner east is dense and the suburbs are small, so a list that looks long is actually a short drive from end to end.

Clients also travel in from much further out across greater Adelaide, particularly for extensions and smoothing work where the appointment is long enough to be worth the trip. Those are journeys people choose to make. The suburbs below are the ones the studio can honestly call local.

Where the studio actually is

The studio is inside SPAZIO creative, a shared creative space on Payneham Road. It is one chair, which means the whole appointment from consultation to finish is with the same person and nothing is being run in parallel with somebody else's colour.

Payneham Road is the arterial that runs north east out of the city, so most people arriving are either coming out from the CBD side or coming back down the road from Payneham. Weekday appointments start in the afternoon and run into the evening, which suits anyone working in town. Weekends open at nine and take the longer services.

The road the studio sits on runs north east out of the city. These suburbs are on it or a street off it.

Maylands1.3 km east along Payneham Road. Close enough that a lot of Maylands clients walk it rather than move the car.

Trinity Gardens2 km east. Still on the Payneham Road run, and the far end of what most people here would call local.

Payneham South2.3 km out, on the southern side of the road the studio takes its address from.

Payneham2.5 km north east and the furthest of the Payneham Road suburbs. A straight run in with no turns worth mentioning.

Between the studio and the city

Everything here sits on the CBD side. If you work in town, the studio is on your way home rather than a detour.

Kent Town760 m south west, directly between the studio and the city. The shortest trip of any suburb served.

Hackney630 m west north west, on the parklands edge. One of the two closest suburbs to the chair.

College Park510 m north west. The closest suburb to the studio other than Stepney itself.

Adelaide CBD2.6 km south west. Close enough that city clients regularly book the late weekday finishes rather than taking a day off.

North and south of the main road

The residential pocket either side of Payneham Road, all of it inside a short drive.

Norwood1.1 km south east, over toward The Parade. The busiest of the neighbouring suburbs and the one people most often name when they describe where the studio is.

St Peters1.1 km due north, on the other side of the road.

Joslin1.8 km north. Small, quiet, and an easy run down to Payneham Road.

Evandale1.6 km north east, tucked between St Peters and Payneham.

Beulah Park2 km due east, at the southern edge of the studio's regular catchment.

Every suburb on this page is inside a 2.6 kilometre radius of the chair. That is the honest service area: not a list of everywhere in Adelaide, just the pocket the studio actually sits in the middle of. Clients travel in from further out across greater Adelaide, and they are very welcome, but those are trips people choose to make rather than areas the studio can claim to be local to.

Stepney

Stepney is the only suburb with its own page, because it is the only one where the studio can write a full page of things that are actually true about it: the building, the street, the hours, the parking, and every appointment that has ever happened here.

The rest of the suburbs on this page get a line each rather than a page each. That is deliberate. A page per suburb, written by swapping the name in and out, is a doorway page, and Google has spent the last two years demoting exactly that. A town gets a page here when there is enough real local detail to fill one honestly.
